INVEST IN THE FUTURE

Since 2007, the Second Chances Leadership Program (SCLP) has served over 350 scholars. Of those 350 scholars 100% have graduated from high school and 315 scholars have enrolled in a college or university. In 2019, FFSC started it’s Scholarship Fund.

The Second Chances Scholarship Fund was created to help support our alumni students who were previously enrolled in our Second Chances Leadership Program as they enter college. This funding will help our scholars with the essentials like paying for tuition, travel, books, medical bills, emergency needs, transportation, etc. All donations will go to support our Leadership students who have decided to pursue a higher education.

The Second Chances Family believes it is important to support our students even after they have graduated from the program because life after high school can be a difficult journey. We want our students to know we are here to help and we appreciate all their hard work and effort over the years.

YOU CAN HELP

Contributions made to the FFSC Scholarship fund will unearth opportunities for students who lack the resources and support they need to prepare for college and successfully navigate the college admissions process. Please take this opportunity to bring college within reach for high ability, high need students living in South Los Angeles. In doing so, you are creating bountiful possibilities for them and the many others that will follow in their footsteps. With your help, we will propel these students out of poverty and into a promise.

A WORD FROM

FFSC ALUMNI

FFSC is committed to helping all scholars realize the pursuit of a post-secondary degree is within their realm of possibilities. It’s through our programs that we help transform students’ lives and make college enrollment tenable for them.

FFSC Alumni
“The most beneficial thing I learned from FFSC is the importance of community. One individual is able to do much alone, it takes a village to complete a task and make a change. The foundation has provided unconditional support throughout my journey.”

Dakisha

FFSC Alumni
“FFSC helped me to see my college journey from a variety of perspectives. The staff makes the college application process more understandable and always had us one step ahead.”

Each SCLP scholar engages in 40-weeks of high-touch mentorship and curriculum-based instruction annually (within a cohort) throughout their high school experience.
