THE FFSC COMMUNITY RELIES ON YOU

Foundation for Second Chances relies heavily on its selfless volunteers, amazing staff, Board of Directors, community partners and generous donors. At the center of Foundation for Second Chances success over the years are the amazing volunteers who freely give their time to serve and support Foundation for Second Chances AND our students and help them maximize their full potential.

OUR COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAMS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Two (2) Beautification days per year (one at a school site and one in the community)
  • FFSC’s Annual Community Health Fair
  • FFSC’s Annual Kids Day Event
  • Gift of Giving Christmas Event
  • Partnering with other community organizations to provide help with their community service projects

OUTREACH EVENTS.

FFSC Beautification Day

Calling all local businesses, youth, and everybody that wants to be apart of change! Beautification Day is a neighborhood event that enables locals to help local schools in their community. FFSC, with the help of its amazing volunteers has participated in Beautification Day as a way to give back to local schools in need. Together we will ensure all students, teachers, and staff thrive in a welcoming, clean, and safe learning environment.

Random Acts of Kindness

Have you ever stopped to think about how random acts of kindness affect those around you? Including you? When you perform a random act of kindness you become a difference-maker in someone else’s life. By helping others we set an example of hope, and hope can change people for the better! Kindness is a win-win situation for all of us looking to connect with each other on a deeper level!

Giving Tuesday

Making someone smile, helping someone in need, standing up for someone who needs protection, or giving our attention to someone who needs support. All these self-less acts count and everyone has a special gift that they can contribute. Donate your time, your voice, your experience, and your life skills through one of our mentorships programs. Together we can give a FFSC scholar a winning Chance!

Reading Across America

In honor of Dr. Seuss, FFSC will read engaging stories and give away over 500 book donations to children in need! Reading is an essential building block for learning. It fosters the development of creative and critical thinking, problem-solving skills, builds vocabulary, and more importantly reading strengthens a child’s social skills, emotional health, and overall self-confidence. Join us in promoting the importance of reading literacy among children of all ages by participating in Reading Across America!

Mothers Day Brunch

Join us this Mother’s Day in celebration of all mothers and mother figures in our communities! These maternal bonds have the biggest influence on society, so let us take this day to pamper and thank the amazing women who are here to make a difference in our lives!
